If you've always wanted to play Russian roulette, but prefer foodborne illness to bullets, this may be just the place for you. I went in for the first time today, and ordered a Philly Cheesesteak. After the cook handled raw meat, she went on to touch several other food items without changing her gloves. I told her what she had done, and asked to speak with the manager. She told me she was the manager, and asked me to have a nice day. I called the Clackamas County health department to report the issue, and they couldn't find this facility listed. They asked me if I would go back in and ask to see their license. I did so, while still on the phone with the health department, and was asked by Miss Congeniality to leave immediately. The health department asked if I wouldn't mind picking up a menu on my way out, and instructed me to go directly to my car and drive away. Without a doubt, something other than the #10 is fishy here. Update: Clackamas County called me back, after discovering that this little corner of Lake Oswego is covered by Multnomah County. They provided Multnomah County health with the information about my visit, including the hostility they heard over the phone when I requested to see their license. I also learned that their most recent published inspection took place on 2/3/14, at which time they were cited with the following CRITICAL violations: VIOLATION OF SECTION 2-301.14 *PRIORITY* Food employees are not washing their hands as often as necessary VIOLATION OF SECTION 3-501.16 *PRIORITY* Potentially hazardous food is not maintained at proper hot or cold holding temperatures Update 2: The fun never ends. Here is what was found on their 9/15/14 inspection: VIOLATION OF SECTION 3-501.19(B)(1,3,4)(C)(1,4,5) *PRIORITY* The use of time as a public health control is not properly applied VIOLATION OF SECTION 7-201.11 *PRIORITY* Poisonous or toxic materials are not properly separated or located VIOLATION OF SECTION 3-304.14 Wiping cloths are not properly used or stored VIOLATION OF SECTION 7-209.11 Employee personal care items are not properly stored

Extremely overpriced. Stale bread. Oh too salty bacon. Waaaaaay too much of their seasoning. Inedible.

The food wasn't good at all. I got a Rueben in a wrap - mostly because they advertised it as the "low carb" option and that usually eliminates a good 300 extra calories from the bread alone. When I unwrapped it, the sauce was everywhere. To top it all off, I check the nutritional information and it has TWO WHOLE CARBS LESS than their white bread. WOW. 70g carbs as opposed to 72g carbs, don't low carb it too hard there Jersey Mike. Also the regular sandwhich is actually less calories than the "low carb" wrap. Even if it was to my normal expectation of "low carb" stuff, the food was still downright nasty. The whole store was completely disorganized. They kept forgetting which food was for which customer.

Subs like they are supposed to be. Good bread. Excellent meats and cheeses. Authentic relish. The staff are helpful and friendly. Go and enjoy!

This location is miserable. Jersey Mike's is already a very slow restaurant (I go to the one on Nimbus) and the lack of trained staff on hand is shameful. The subs, though pretty alright, take a millennium to get out and are incredibly messy. They're covered in oil and heaps of lettuce. The Chicken Parm is lukewarm and tough and I've seen them microwave it before. Do not go here.

Super slow service today, didn't seem like any of the 3 behind the counter knew what they were doing. The 6 parties behind me were definitely getting agitated too. And to top it off the kid doing the register wasn't changing his gloves, he went to from making sandwiches to handling money and then back.

I feel bad because I know the owner/ management is really trying to make there customers happy but it comes down to the product. I was so excited when I saw they were putting a sandwich shop in the plaza (really needed more food options)... Since they opened I have been there 3 times, really trying to find a good sandwich. The first one was a simple turkey and provolone. They asked me if I wanted it jersey style or something.. I had no idea what that meant.. But apparently it means no mayo or mustard just a ton of vinegar. By the time I got the sandwich home it was soggy and flavorless. The buffalo chicken wrap was way too saucy and the Parmesan chicken was just disgusting. So I can say I really tried... But unfortunately I am not going to waste anymore money on the business.

Got some really good coupons in the mail, bogo. We really liked the subs. The only thing I don't care for is that the meat in the deli case looks like chopped meat formed into the plastic wrap. Seems like the packaging could make it look a little more appealing. The meat is really tasty though, and seems different when sliced before your eyes. I really like how the whole sub tastes. Haven't tried the white bread, I am hooked on the wheat. Awesome subs! The staff was really friendly and seems that with the longer being open they are able to organize a line quicker. They gave my hubby a sample of few different meats which was nice to help decide on the sub he wanted.

I love jersey mikes. It's so much better than subway and I love that they slice the meat and cheese fresh in front of you. The lake oswego location is perfect. It's close to where I live and I can walk there for lunch or pick it up for dinner on the way home. The staff is awesome and have always made my order correctly. They are super friendly and engaging. The turkey provolone sandwich is my favorite and would eat it every day if I could afford it.

Would give it zero stars if I could, was so excited to see "Philly cheesesteak" on the menu. The least authentic east coast sub shop I've been to in Portland. That is saying a lot for a place with few good cheese steaks. I live down the street and wouldn't go back if it was free.

Such a bad experience - I'm by far one of those people that usually just takes it. Ordered online - a bit annoying that you can't mix and match easily but you can add things to the comments section. There are quite a few sub/sandwich places that have a significantly better online experience. I rolled in about 20 minutes after the "done" time. They were busy. Person at the counter said they were working on my sandwiches - and then I watched for about 20 minutes as they served everyone that was in line there before getting to mine even though it was massively late. There were 3 guys working which looked like none of them had any idea what they were doing. I'm not blaming them very much because it looked like they had 0 training. There was also a time when they ran out of wheat bread - I sat there in wonder if mine was not going to have wheat. Got my sandwiches about 40 minutes after "ready" time. I was watching them make it and figured it was not mine due to the ingredients. The guy in charge of everything beyond the meat/cheese called me over and gave me the bag. I said, "I don't think you made those right". I said they had X number of ingredients removed, I ordered online. He looked at the receipt which had minus marks next to things and said "oh I messed that up". Pretty hard to confuse a minus mark with a plus. They started making a new one, once the meat was down they handed it over to said guy. He was confused and asked me what I wanted on them. I said it's all on the receipt. He put on lettuce and looked at me confused. I then led him through what I wanted on the sandwiches even though it was clearly printed on the online receipt. At that point I noticed that no bacon was on them, even though it was on the "default" club sub - one had been wrapped already and I didn't correct that one, for the one he almost completed he was like "oh ya" and put it on. On his behave it was the guy manning the meat/cheese cutters that probably should have put that on? He was obviously new and was looking at their menu on the wall constantly which makes me wonder if they do any training. They threw in a few cookies and a coupon for free chips/soda which was nice but after nearly an hour that I had been sitting there it was seriously frustrating. I did not order any of those items and did not want them. If I had known they were in there I would have given them away to other people. When we got home sandwiches were fine but nothing special - we do Jimmy Johns once it a while which is flawless in execution, out in a few seconds, great online ordering but they don't have one around Burlingame area. Seems like Jersey Mike's is pretty much the same thing except turtle pace and lack of training. I decided to try again the next day. This time I got in and my sandwiches were ready. Different crew. When we got home everything was straight except I put in add "pepperoncini" to my sandwich - they added pepperoni not banana peppers. Not a huge deal. I'd give today's venture about a 3/5 - decent service with one mix up - food was nothing special. Overall very disappointing experience. Standard sub shop but it seems that they don't train their people or it's a mixed bag and it takes forever. Subway is making them look bad which is sad - and I dislike Subway.

I really like the cheese steak, the turkey and provolone is a great way to go as well. Just know if you get it jersey style they will cover your sandwich in Oil and vinegar. Overall a good sub in my opinion...

For the price this sandwich beats out any other sandwich chain. Everything is fresh, simple, and tasty. They bake their own bread, roast their own meat, slice their own cheese for each order...Mike's way is the only way. GF says Mike's should add avacado to the repertoire to help build up veggie sandwiches. Probably true.

I have been going to this location since it opened and until today I didn't understand why the rating is so low. I even tipped the staff today, not knowing that the guy making the sandwich didn't give a rip about how he made it. Half the bun was slit all the way through causing the sandwich to fall apart. The guy threw the cheese on without melting it so I had three unmelted pieces of cheese stuck to the aluminum foil. I have gotten this sandwich dozens of times so I know how the sandwich is supposed to be prepared. I hope the owner retrains the staff so that I might consider coming back. The owner retuned my message within a few hours and has said he'd fix the problem. As a result of the owner caring enough to contact me, I've changed my review from one star to three. I would suggest that patrons watch how their sandwich is being made and make sure the grill cook actually melts the cheese.

Jersey Mike's is internationally known for their traditional New Jersey style subs using their fresh baked bread, high quality meats and cheeses. Every location I've been to has produced consistently delicious sandwiches. The service at this Lake Oswego location has always been efficient and friendly. If you're used to poor quality flavorless slop like Subway or Quizno's your taste buds will be blown out of the back of your head when you taste a Jersey Mike's sub. This is the gold standard of fast food sandwich shops.

Big fan of Jersey Mike's - appreciate their freshly made sandwiches with quality ingredients and fair prices. Best part of this location is the customer service - these guys are all great!! Makes coming in to get a sandwich an enjoyable experience whether you're the only customer or there are 20 people in line. Keep it up!

I got the Kahuna cheese steak. The first bite was alright, and then I started to realize that the bread was crumbling with every bite. The more I ate, the more I disliked my sandwich. The bread was stale and almost inedible. The inners of the sandwich were very good, but bad bread means bad sandwich.

I live very near the Jersey Mikes which opened a couple months ago by my local New Seasons Market. Since then I have had two sandwiches there and they are both been exceptionally delicious. The bread was fresh, there was way more meat and cheese in the sandwich than in other sub shops and the service was friendly and helpful when I asked questions during the busy dinner hour. The sandwich I had this evening was their Italian and while I bought the giant size I had them package it in two different servings so I could eat the second half tomorrow but it never made it to the next day! I ate the whole thing it was so tasty and delicious. The restaurant was clean and available tables were also clean and orderly. The price for the amount of meat and cheese (yes there was also lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc) alone make this a good deal. I especially liked the freshness of the bread.
